The Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College (NIPSC) eLearning CybeLab Project is one of the flagship projects of the NIPSC ICT Center expectedly to be operational 2nd Semester 2008-2009. It was originally conceptualized as an IGP initiative by:
* providing fast and readily available Internet access to the clienteles;
* catering to local, regional and national training-workshops; and
* providing other services such as out-sourced data encoding, call center, among others, where ICT is a requirement.
The project is being funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) with an initial budget of P3,500,000.00. Of this budget, an initial amount of PhP 1,000,000.00 is for the construction of the building and additional funding is needed for its completion.
The amount of P2,500,000.00 was allocated for the procurement of the ICT equipment and peripherals. As of today, the 1st phase of the eLearning CyberLab building is under construction at the NIPSC Main Campus, Estancia, Iloilo.
