The Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT) held a Basic Online Writing Techniques (BOWT) training at Baybay, Leyte from April 21-24, 2010. This training, hosted by the Visayas State University (VSU), was attended by iSchools writers from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the country identified by the CICT.
The training aimed to polish basic online writing and photography skills of writers and review and polish SUC articles for online publishing.
BOWT is a follow-on of the iSchools Content Planning Workshop and Commitment Setting held at the University Hotel of the University of the Philippines (UP), Diliman, Quezon City from March 15-17, 2010. Resource persons of the training were Prof. Rosella Torrecampo of the University of the Philippines, and Jose Torres, Jr. and Jimmy Domingo of the national newspaper, Remate.
